An important moment in the life of the GDR, this year's Ecole du GDR MEETICC will be held in Aussois from May 26 to 31. Unlike previous schools, it will focus on a single theme, topology in condensed matter. There are several reasons for this choice: firstly, topology represents a major conceptual advance which has a major impact on the research topics tackled by GDR members. Secondly, the tools and formalism of topology are not yet widely taught in Masters courses. Finally, even for researchers already in the field, it can be a long way to go before embarking on the synthesis or study of the properties of topological materials. This school is therefore aimed at doctoral and post-doctoral students as well as permanent researchers.
The courses will be given in English to widen access to this school to non-French speakers.
